TumkurConnect respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to comply with the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. This policy explains how we handle complaints of intellectual property infringement on our platform.
The 'TumkurConnect' brand name, logo, domain (tumkurconnect.in), original design, software source code, editorial content, and all other original creative works on the platform are our exclusive intellectual property and fully protected under Indian copyright law. Copying, reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works without prior written permission constitutes a legal violation.
You retain ownership of intellectual property in content (reviews, photos, business descriptions, etc.) you post on the platform. However, you grant TumkurConnect a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, store, promote, translate, and perform related technical operations on that content. Active use ceases when you delete the content; backup copies may persist for a limited period.
If you believe your copyright or trademark is infringed on the platform, send a written notice to the Grievance Officer at tumkurconnect@gmail.com. The notice must include all of the following:
If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notice to the Grievance Officer within 14 days of the takedown. Include your identity, description of removed content, and a good-faith declaration that you have legal right to post it. Upon valid counter-notice, restoration will be considered.
After three or more valid infringement complaints, the user's account will be permanently terminated. Reasonable technical measures will be taken to block the offender's IP address and device. Serious cases will be reported to the Cyber Crime Cell.
Details of the Grievance Officer appointed under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021:
We are committed to acknowledging complaints within 24 hours and resolving them within 15 days, as mandated by the IT Rules, 2021.
